The Bigger Move
Last night, I decided to do what I’ve wanted to do for some time; take my personal blog and stop hosting it myself. I wanted to do this for a number of reasons (I talk about that here). What’s the big deal? Nothing really. This is a personal brand “press” release via Social Media using a number of platforms to deliver an update. It’s about letting the good people that read my smut know that things have changed, but will more than likely end up being the same.
I’m convinced that having 34 domain names and running a series of blogs while updating social networks, doing client work, and attempting to maintain some form of life away from a computer, all while being able to catch a movie from time to time… is pretty damn absurd. So this is the first step at making an already well-oiled and optimized social media engine, that much more better.
A neat trick: If you ‘re using Firefox, open a tab & go to twitter.com/nrek & then switch back and forth to see how the image being used here is altered from there… If you catch where I messed up, leave it in the comments. I’m probably not going to fix it, but it’s still fun to point & laugh when someone messes up on the Internet.
